Terms of Reference (Education, Honours & Awards)

  1. Review all component, conference, seminar and communication policies on an ongoing basis and recommend changes as appropriate.
  2. Review summary reports of evaluations after each seminar or conference and identify trends to the National Executive.
  3. When required, review and make recommendations on all proposed training to be offered by the Union of National Employees.
  4. Identify training modules that will assist our members achieve the mission of the component.
  5. This committee shall be responsible for dealing with all Union of National Employees bursaries, awards and honours assigned to it including:
    1. Adult bursary to an institute for higher learning
    2. Alfred Papineau Bursary
    3. Laurier Auger Bursary
  6. Union of National Employees members in good standing may attend meetings of the committee as an observer.  All expenses incurred by observers attending the meeting are the responsibility of the individual observer or his or her local. Prior approval should be sought from the chair(s).
  7. Should the chair(s) of the committee be absent from the executive meeting, the committee members will decide amongst themselves who will present the report of the committee.
  8. Quorum for the committee is 50 percent of established committee members.

Terms of Reference (Communications)

  1. To provide guidance and recommendations to the National President and National Executive on matters related to communications.
